We, The Downeast Painter, started our career during the 90s as an exterior house painter. After a few years of being perched three stories high in the blazing sun, we eventually learned that it was safer - and a lot cooler - working indoors. We eventually purchased an old condo whose previous life as a well-used rental unit gave us the opportunity to start our first renovation. Every room was demo'd down to the studs, the kitchen and bathrooms were completely updated, more closets were added plus a laundry room. We would take on a second project, this time a 150 year old brick multi-family which had a lot of charm... and a lot of challenges! This time we converted an extra bedroom into a Short-Term Rental (SRT) complete with an ensuite bath. We at Downeast Painter didn't do all of this ourselves, mind you. Over the years working in York Country and Cumberland County, we built up a strong Professional Network of Inspectors, Electricians, Plumbers, Masons and other Trades to help us get you from start to finish.
